Living in Kaka’ako: Oahu’s Up & Coming Art Neighborhood

Centrally located in Honolulu, easy access to the freeway, gorgeous views of the mountains and ocean, Kaka’ako offers the city life with a charming, small neighborhood feel. For the food lover who enjoys eating at some of Honolulu’s new and delicious restaurants, you’ve come to the right section of town. If that’s not enough, Kaka’ako streets are filled with elaborate murals and street art. It is known to be Honolulu’s evolving artistry district.
Imperial Plaza, located at 725 Kapiolani Blvd, is a beautiful condominium high-rise that offers all of the above, including an attractive price tag. The building was built in 1991 and has been well maintained throughout the years. Most of the units have views of the bustling city with ample sized lanais.

Imperial Plaza Unit #806 (MLS# 201611482)

I’ve been hosting open house for the last two weeks, and I must say, I’d like to move in! The unit is spacious with an open living room, large master, and eye level view of the valley. It’s very private, quiet, and relaxing. Featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, this unit is very comfortable and inviting. The monthly fees include central AC, electric, internet and cable. A huge plus! The building offers some great amenities such as the large tiled pool, jacuzzi, sauna, BBQ area, and gym.

I have had the pleasure of meeting a handful of the friendly neighbors in the building. Many have lived here since the plaza was built. Some of the current owners mentioned owning other units in the building used as rentals; a very smart investment. Overall, this building is a perfect match for someone looking for urban luxury living in Honolulu. Art, shopping, eateries, parks, and the beach are all just blocks away!

My husband and I are planning a visit to Oahu in March 2019. We are boaters and would love to stay on a boat in or near waikiki for a week. Do you have any info about that situation
