Launiupoko Real Estate Offers Great Options & Value for Maui Home Buyers

Launiupoko homes on West Maui – they are not just close to one of the best beach parks, surf spots, and farmer’s markets on the island – but this is a great neighborhood with lots of Aloha and huge, gorgeous, Hawaiian blue Pacific Ocean views!

If you have you ever been to the island of Maui then you know that it’s one of the most beautiful islands in the Hawaiian Island chain, and quite frankly, in the entire world. Some magazines and travel reviewers have called Maui just that…the best in the world!

Launiupoko – A Popular Neighborhood in West Maui

Maui has so much to offer including world-class golfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. And Launiupoko happens to be one of them!! This neighborhood is located right above the park and beach! (I’ve met more than one or two famous actors and musicians while surfing the break, and yes, they own a home in Launiupoko!)

This is hands-down one of the best and most popular places to go surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and also snorkeling in West Maui. Launiupoko Beach Park is located on the West side on the way to Lahaina. It is both a sought after destination by tourists from all over the world, but also one of the MOST popular local hangouts.

On any given weekend you will see multiple family picnics and birthday parties being celebrated – usually complete with bouncy zones, the smell of “brah”-b-que with the occasional ice cold Corona or Heineken being offered to a bruh-dah with a handshake and warm embrace. Something you pretty much only get to see and experience in the basking rays of the Hawaiian sun and the true Aloha spirit of these incredible islands!

Great Opportunity For Maui Real Estate Buyers

If you have ever thought about moving to Maui, there are actually many reasons that you should consider this exact area. The homes at Launiupoko are positioned very nicely, and right now, they are a great value…you can actually find great deals on homes!! It depends, of course, upon how much money you have to invest, but you could not ask for a better time to make a move in the Hawaii real estate market.

The homes that are for sale above Launiupoko park have so much to offer. If you have been thinking about getting a piece of Maui real estate for full time, or during that cherished vacation, Launiupoko homes fill the bill either way!

Why, you ask? Well, first of all these are larger acreage tracts (compared to most lot and block neighborhoods), they are very private (hence the famous people), and come complete with trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It’s like the best combination of a beachfront and upcountry lifestyles in one place…along with those ocean views and cool trade winds.

It all goes back to one of the big reasons people love to live in Maui…the almost constant year-round temperatures hovering between 75 and 85 degrees, but until you have lived here, you may think it’s the same or perfectly comfortable everywhere on the island – and nothing could be further from the truth! If you are thinking about the West side of Maui, then you need to be in a relatively cooler place…they don’t call Lahaina “Cruel Sun” for nothing; it is H-O-T.

But, on this hillside called Launiupoko, weather is simply not an issue…you are higher up (thus cooler) and you usually have good trade winds keeping things very comfortable (plus you don’t have to run the A/C, which will keep your electric bill under $500!)

Quick & Easy Lahaina Home Search

One other thing to consider if you are thinking about purchasing a home in the area is searching from the mainland before you arrive. By doing a quick search for Lahaina homes for sale on Maui through the Hawaii Life website, you will be able to look at everything that is available in the entire Lahaina district. (See all of the current active and sold homes in the Launiupoko neighborhood since 01/01/2012 here.)

The mapping feature allows you to check out not only the prices of the homes available, but their exact location as well. Depending upon how motivated you are to relocate to the island, by working with the local “Hawaii Life” realtors, we will be able to help you find a home or condominium that is not only affordable, but will provide you with all the little nuances you are looking for, and of course, something that you will absolutely love.

We typically can give you a lot more insight than the average agent as nobody in Hawaii sells more homes over $3M than Hawaii Life, and we also are the #2 real estate company in Maui for inventory.

Consider Making the Move to Maui

Hawaii (I’ve heard) is not for everybody. Some people feel that being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is reserved for an occasional trip from time to time. They say they get island fever.

I personally get “mainland fever,” but if you have a passion for water, vibrant coral reefs, snorkeling, SUP, surfing, beaches, and some of the best weather and golf courses in the world, purchasing a home in Launiupoko might be the right choice for you – not to mention the laid back lifestyle and loving Aloha vibe that you will only find in one place in the entire world…HAWAII! (or maybe someone that just got back from a two week vacation in Hawaii 😉
