Kona Living & Design Show Happening Feb. 25 & 26

Are you considering upcoming home building or remodeling projects? If so, this show is for you!

If you’re considering building or remodeling your own home in the near future, you’ll want to check out the 2017 Living + Design Show on Saturday, February 25th, and Sunday, February 26th, at the Sheraton Kona Resort Convention Center in Keauhou. Previously known as the Building and Design Expo, the exhibition, which is sponsored by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, has been revamped and given a new name.

What To Expect

This is the only home show on island, and you’ll find lots of inspiration and ideas on the latest trends and services, home decorating, energy savings, home improvements, design, and so much more. Most of the vendors offer special promotions and giveaways during the Living + Design Show, so if you’re planning on building or remodeling your home, you’ll find good deals here. They also hold drawings and contests during the show.

Now in its 12th year, this event used to be held in the summer but was moved to February a couple years ago in order to enable seasonal second-home residents to take advantage of seeing the more than 40 vendors that participate in this show. The vendors come from all over the island and range from interior designers to roofing companies. They really go all out designing booths for this show and attendees can vote for best creatively designed booth.

If you’re considering upcoming home building or remodeling projects, it’s a great event to check out. The show typically includes workshops and talks on a variety of home-related topics, live entertainment, and last year celebrated Hawaii chef Sam Choy did a cooking demonstration. More than 2,000 attend this popular event so you’ll want to be sure to stop by early on Saturday or Sunday to talk to the vendors. Admission is free.
