Ko Olina is one of Oahu’s premier resort communities and is ideal for second home owners. Ko Olina is about 30 minutes from downtown Honolulu and exemplifies island living away from the congestion of Honolulu.
Although it is far from Honolulu, Ko Olina has every modern convenience you could ask for. It also has many island favorite activities to keep you busy while visiting your second home on Oahu. In the neighborhood of Ko Olina, there are several options, including condos, townhouses, and single family homes.
You can get oceanfront or golf course frontage and the beach is just a few block away from every community in the area. Simply put, this area is gorgeous and is the ideal home-away-from-home. For all you sports fans, the Hula Bowl players often enjoy their stay in this community, so don’t be surprised if you see an NFL star strolling the neighborhood.

If townhouses are more your speed, Coconut Plantation might suit your needs. These spacious townhouses offer large interior spaces and gorgeous island landscaping. Some have direct ocean views, but there are only a few of those.

It is not unusual for many residents to convene at the pool to get to know each other, BBQ, and enjoy this magical place. This is my favorite on the market now with an impressive 1,715 sq. ft. interior for $725,000 (MLS# 1107704).
For all you golf enthusiasts who want the privacy of a single family home, you may want to consider this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, fully furnished home right on the 10th fairway of the golf course. You can sit on your back lanai and enjoy the view. This home (MLS# 1102854) is over 2,000 square feet and is listed at $1,500,000.

The amenities are amazing as well. You can dine at some of Oahu’s finest restaurants, go to a traditional luau on the beach, golf at an award winning golf course, enjoy the benefits of a yacht club, and simply enjoy the island lifestyle.
Kapolei is a nearby city has all the other shops, theaters, and restaurants you may want to utilize like Home Depot, Target, grocery stores, and Starbucks. To live the Hawaii life, this resort community is a great place to start.
