Community Gatherings & Networking

Residents at the Mauna Lani Resort can gain access to many activities through being part of the advantage club. The beach areas are a beautiful place to relax with neighbors along the shoreline or enjoy some of the many watersports. Try stand-up-paddle boarding or grab some snorkel gear. Strike up a conversation with local residents from the Mauna Lani Resort community, which is currently undergoing at $100 million renovation, scheduled for completion in November 2019.

Shopping centers tend to be big community gathering hubs in Hawaii and The Shops at Mauna Lani and King’s Shops both offer nightly events for people of all ages. Check out their event calendar for the most up-to-date postings.

Sports and Recreation

Property owners at the Mauna Lani Resort enjoy preferred access to two 18-hole championship golf courses, each with uniquely striking fairways and greens set against the contrast of black lava. Practice your swing while enjoying panoramic mountain and ocean views. The Mauna Lani Francis H. I’i Brown South course features stunning ocean views and has one of the most photographed over-the-ocean holes in the world. The North course faces the mountains and is more challenging, with steeper drops and sloped greens.

Property owners at the Mauna Lani Resort can join the Advantage Club, which provides charge privileges and discounts, as well as priority tee times and reduced green fees at both golf courses.

Spas and Wellness

Nearby at the Fairmont Orchid’s Spa Without Walls, authentic luxury continues with several private outdoor waterfalls and oceanside huts, where treatments are complemented by the relaxing sounds of water. Most spa treatments integrate Hawaii’s ancient healing with modern treatments and massages.

Dining

From casual to formal, The Shops at Mauna Lani offer lots of dining options, especially for ladies to enjoy lunch or brunch with friends.

Under the Bodhi Tree showcases Big Island organic produce with vibrant and flavorful dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Opened in 2014 by Chef Stephen Rouelle, the former Executive Chef at the Fairmont Orchid, the menu provides healthy, customizable options to those visiting and living on the Kohala Coast looking for healthy and tasty meals.

The Shops also offer a few more formal dining options, including The Blue Room and Tommy Bahama restaurants, both of which specialize in fresh seafood and local produce for lunch, dinner and of course, happy hour. Tommy Bahama has live music from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. most evenings, so it’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail with girlfriends at sunset.

Shopping

In addition to impressive gourmet dining options, The Shops at Mauna Lani is also a chic shopping destination for fashion, art, and lifestyle. It balances brand name designer fashions with plenty of boutiques specializing in local craftsmanship and island-style aloha wear.
