Kalama Valley – A Great Neighborhood in Hawaii Kai

As a long-time resident of Kalama Valley in Hawaii Kai, I have come to love this community and the people who reside here. I appreciate the valley’s distinct geographical sense, as well as its rich history. Nestled among the mountains that stand tall above the shore, Kalama is only minutes from Sandy Beach and is home to Koko Crater Botanical Gardens and the Hawaii Kai Golf Course. It’s also conveniently located to Costco, Safeway, shops, eateries, Maunalua Bay and the Hawaii Kai marina!

Kalama Valley consists of a variety of residential developments, including Queen’s Gate, Laulima, Koko Villas, Kalama Ku’u, Kalama Iki, Kalama Highlands, Kalama Valley Park Subdivision, Crater View Homes, the Grant Homes Development, and the newest development, Laule’a Kai. With a wide range of homes, townhomes, and styles to choose from, residents enjoy the diversity and lifestyle this wonderful neighborhood has to offer.

There’s lots to do in Kalama Valley. You can visit the Farmer’s Market or take a stroll around the Koko Crater Botanical Gardens. You can also visit the tide pools, fish, swim, or surf at Sandy Beach.

Are you a golfer? You’ll love the golf course communities of Queen’s Gate and Koko Villas. But, even if you don’t live in one of the golf course communities, there’s a shortcut from Kalama Valley to the driving range. Shhhh……it’s a secret. There’s also a neighborhood park you can enjoy with a playground for the kids and lots of room to run for your fur babies. On Saturdays, you’ll see lots of kids playing soccer at the park with many of our residents cheering them on!

Home prices in Kalama Valley have a varied range, with list prices currently starting at $1,175,000 and ranging to over $2 million dollars. Living so close to some of Oahu’s most beautiful beaches and natural attractions does have its price, but the value you get from living in this sunny valley surrounded by mountains, Koko Crater and the ocean is really hard to beat!

Kalama Valley is truly a special place, but of course, what makes the valley truly special are the family, friends, and neighbors who reside here.

It is a blessing to call Kalama Valley home, and it is my pleasure to be of service to all those who live here!
