Big Island

Valentine’s Day Special for a Great Hawaiian SciFi Experience

HawaiiCon 2014, the first science, SciFi, and fantasy convention on the Big Island of Hawaii is offering you a very special gift for your favorite nerd/geek/fan! As one of the founding members of HawaiiCon, I have the pleasure of bringing one of the most exciting events to my island home that it has ever seen.

The ‘Probowl’ of Cons

As a Realtor, nothing makes me happier than contributing to our exceptional Hawaii Life. Our goal with HawaiiCon is to enrich the experience of visitors to the island with the ‘Probowl’ of Cons, while also giving our local economy a financial boost during the slow season.

HawaiiConVDay

Hosted at the oceanfront resort, Hapuna Beach Prince Resort on the Kohala Coast, September 12-14, 2014, HawaiiCon is proving to be THE place to be this Fall. If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, this is a great opportunity with this sweetheart special.

HawaiiCon 2014

With over 100 panels on science (What are the realities of colonization on other planets?), science fiction (How real life scientific facts influence SciFi fantasies), your favorite SciFi shows (Stargate Atlantis 10 year reunion, Battlestar Gallactica, Game of Thrones, Farscape, Xena, and more) all included in the price of your pass.

This convention is also unique in that we have arranged with the stars to join you on tours of our beautiful island home. Go on a glass-bottom boat cruise with Stargate’s Rachel Luttrell. Or take a morning yoga class lead by the Wraith Queen, Andee Frizzell. How about a Mauna Kea astonomy tour with Michael Hogan of both Battlestar Gallactica and Teen Wolf?

All of these are options with your registration to HawaiiCon 2014!

Innovation Technologies

I’m especially proud that we are spotlighting the culture and technology of our own Hawaiian Islands. There will be several panel discussions on Hawaiian culture, early navigation, and current technological advances in astronomy and robotics.

Hawaii Island is home to the most top-of-the-line observatories in the Universe, on Mauna Kea mountain. Our island also boasts award-winning high school robotics teams, who will be joining HawaiiCon 2014 for special workshops and displays.

We are still bringing more innovation technologies to the Con, and hope to offer demonstrations of Google Glass, electric cars, and other cutting-edge industires from right here in the Rainbow State.
