Hawaii Life is Proud to Sponsor the Hawaii Gay Flag Football League “Aloha Classic Tournament”

If you have watched the HGTV “Hawaii Life” show or worked with me or any Hawaii Life agent, you know that finding a home is about much more than square feet and appliances. A home is grounded in a community with activities and friends that bring it alive. Getting involved is easy here. Groups tend to be small and in need of volunteers, participants, and money. The Hawaii Gay Flag Football League is a great example. They are holding their 4th annual Aloha Classic Tournament on February 15th- 17th, 2019. Attendance at the games is free! In addition to the games at Kapiolani Park, there are lots of other activities for players and spectators alike — from hikes, to a booze cruise, a drag brunch, after parties, and beach excursions. I don’t play and know next to nothing about football, yet the group welcomed me with open arms. I can’t think of a better way to spend the weekend. A mellow, fun day for all.

Keep your eyes on the group and perhaps make plans for next year. They just were selected, in a fierce competition, to host the Gay Bowl for the nation October 8-11th 2020. 1,200 players from across the United States and Canada are expected to attend along with a ton of spectators. Waikiki is going to be hopping. Where else can you walk from your beach hotel to the field for the games with Diamond Head in the background and then back to the bars, clubs, and restaurants of Waikiki in perfect weather?
