A day adventuring with Hawaii Forest & Trail…
The Kohala waterfall tour experience is magical and a must-do for anyone visiting the Big Island! I grew up on this island, it takes a lot to impress me, and this tour does not disappoint. From the panoramic views of Polulu Valley from a private bluff to the refreshing dip in one of seven waterfalls during the hike, this is the real deal and one of the many reasons that the Big Island is so incredibly special.

It all starts with the guide…who just happens to be a family member (added plus). Mathew Radosevich has been a guide with Hawaii Forest & Trail for over decade. He’s well traveled, an adventurer at heart with over 30 years on the island. His knowledge of Hawaii Island coupled with a degree in geography make him the perfect guide to take you to that place on the island that you were certain didn’t exist.
Matt Radosevich – Guide at Hawaii Forest & Trail
It’s great to discover a hidden gem in Hawaii, but it’s even better when you have the historical background and a story to go along with the experience. Matt is a great storyteller and is one of the reasons that Hawaii Forest & Trail is so successful.

In addition to set tours, Hawaii Forest & Trail can create a custom itinerary straight out of National Geographic. A hiking tour of the valley followed by dinner on a private bluff overlooking Pololu Valley via helicopter? This and much more can be done as Hawaii Forest & Trail also offers private and custom heli-adventures based on your preferences.
