8 Day Food & Wine Gala Scheduled to Kick Off on the Big Island

Hawaii is well known for being one of the pioneers of the farm to fork culinary movement. The Big Island in particular has been the leader of the locally sourced culinary scene for quite sometime. Over 20 years ago, master chefs such as Peter Merriman and Roy Yamaguchi introduced the concept of farm to fork with Pacific Rim Cuisine. A delicious blend of Asian and Hawaiian flavors fused with an array of locally grown ingredients sourced from our surrounding oceans, local ranches, and farms.
