The episode starts off when a fugitive named Wendell Dawkins breaks out of Halawa Correctional Facility. Meanwhile, McGarrett’s sister arrived into town that day and had to take a back seat to the new crime at hand. The Five-O team discovers after some interrogating that he was watching a game show on TV, which set him off.Â He was off to Waikiki to meet up with the people he saw in TV that had recently won $1 million.
It turns out one of the people was Dawkins’ former crime partners which had stiffed him on a big heist. Dawkins lead him into Pacific Rim Bank at Restaurant Row off Punchbowl Ave., which is just makai (towards the ocean) to the neighborhood of Punchbowl. The Five-O team was on to him, however, he managed to escape with a helicopter and hostages to Molokai. McGarrett is able to track him down to save the day…
