Oahu Median Prices For Residential Homes and Condos For the Month of May (2012)

The Honolulu Board of Realtors’ MLS system in May shows that the Oahu residential sales median price reached $664,000 and the condo median price reached $300,000; compared to the same month last year, the single family home median price increased 11.6%, while condos increased 3.4%.

These numbers again convinced me that the Oahu residential properties market is very stable, healthy, and growing. If we look back at 2008, the lending system crashed our national economy. Until now, Oahu single family homes sold at a median price of $550,000 – $650,000 +/-, condo prices are always in the $300,000 +/-, never having a big asset value loss.

These numbers also prove to most home owners and investors that Oahu real estate is a good place for growing assets and investment value.
