Just a little while ago, I blogged about the luxurious Trump Towers Waikiki, but maybe that’s not your style. Maybe you want old school Waikiki beach living, as in walk out your front door and onto Kuhio Beach, and the famous strip that’s been photographed more times than Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan combined. This is that place. Welcome to Foster Tower.
Foster Tower Condos and Studios
In their unaltered state, each floor is composed of six units: 2 studios, 2 one-bedrooms, and 2 two-bedrooms (except the penthouse floor, of course). Units ending in 01 or 02 have full dead-on ocean views. The studios, depending on which floor they’re on, have partial ocean and possible Diamond Head views.
The one bedrooms, however, tend to peak my interest more than the others. Situated on the Western side of the building, they have ample square footage if you’re thinking of being a full-time resident (roughly 900 sq.ft. including the lanai), and they tend not to carry the heavier two-bedroom price tag.
Also, I admit I’m a bit biased when it comes to living in Waikiki. I like my ocean views, but I love to look at this beautiful city skyline when it’s lit up at night – especially on Friday nights, when you can see the spectacular weekly fireworks display courtesy of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Active Foster Tower Condos
Currently on the market at Foster Towers are 12 units for sale, and luckily, one of them is a one-bedroom. Even better, it is the coveted 02 stack, meaning you get it all: full on ocean and city views (and fireworks!).
Here’s unit 1402 (MLS# 1203604), a one bedroom, one bath corner unit offered at $675,000. As you can see, few places can boast such amazing views as this unit can. And it comes as a blank slate, either redecorate at will, or leave it as is for a minimalist, ultra-modern feeling.
