Fairway Gardens – Salt Lake

Fairway Gardens is a 14-story apartment building conveniently located at 5210 Likini Street in Salt Lake, on the island of O’ahu.

The “Salt Lake” itself is located in a crater named Ālia Pa’akai — translated to mean “salt pond” in Hawaiian. Parts of Salt Lake are visible from our Penthouse we have listed in Fairway Gardens for $368,000 FS.

Salt Lake (1.5km diameter) formed either from freshwater springs or possibly seawater seepages (Alexander, 1926 in Maciolek, 1982). With no outlet for the water in the crater, over time, evaporation from the sun increased its salt content. Thus giving it its name. Salt deposits were commonly found along the shallow lake’s shores. In 1910, an artesian well was dug to bring the water level up and salinity down. Subsequent years later drainage outlets were created and eventually the salt was removed from the lake (Macdonald, Abbott, and Peterson, 1983).

Fairway Gardens was built in 1980 and is a fee simple building that consists of 138 units spread over 14 floors. The owner-occupancy, at the time of this writing, is 54%. There are a total of 5 guest parking spots and a beautiful pool.

Our unit for sale, is a 2 bedroom end-unit with 1 bathroom and 2 parking stalls. Please watch our cosmetic rehab video that brought the unit up to selling condition.

We received 3 offers with in the first 4 days of listing it. There is always high demand for well prepared, well marketed and well priced real estate.

Aloha,

Jake
