Eight Months. Three Homesites. One Incredible Journey.

Some real estate transactions are straightforward.

Others become a story.

The recent sale of our three Kihapai ʻOhana homesites in Kailua was one of those stories.

From the beginning, we knew this was a truly unique offering. Tucked into one of Kailua’s most special settings, the property represented a rare opportunity to create three thoughtfully designed homes surrounded by the beauty of the Koʻolau Mountains, nearby waterways, and the character that makes this part of Kailua so special. It wasn’t simply land for sale—it was an opportunity to become part of a place with deep roots and lasting significance.

While each of the three homesites could have been purchased individually, we always recognized the unique value they held collectively. Finding the right buyer wasn’t simply about completing a transaction—it was about matching an extraordinary property with someone who appreciated its potential.

That journey took nearly eight months.

Like many complex transactions, there were moments that required creativity, flexibility, patience, and persistence. Strategies evolved. Buyers came and went. Challenges surfaced that required thoughtful problem-solving. Through it all, our commitment remained the same: achieving the best possible outcome for our client.

In the end, everything came together in the best possible way.

All three homesites were purchased by one buyer from the community—someone who understood not only the value of the property itself but also its place within the neighborhood. There’s something especially meaningful about seeing a unique property remain in the hands of someone who already appreciates and cares about the community it calls home.

This transaction also reinforced something I have believed throughout my career: the best results are rarely accomplished alone.

I was fortunate to work alongside Jon Mann and Kaety Tsukamoto throughout this process. Each of us brought different strengths, perspectives, and expertise to the table. We collaborated through every stage of the listing, marketing, negotiations, problem-solving, and ultimately, the successful closing. It was a true team effort, and our client benefited because of it.

Real estate is often perceived as an individual profession, but the most successful transactions are built on relationships, communication, and trust. This sale is a perfect example of what can happen when experienced professionals work together with a shared goal.

To our client, thank you for your patience and confidence during this eight-month journey.

To the buyer, congratulations on acquiring a truly exceptional property.

And to Jon and Kaety, thank you for your partnership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment every step of the way.

Some transactions are measured by the number of days on market.

Others are measured by the relationships built, the challenges overcome, and the outcome achieved.

This was one of those transactions—and one we’ll remember for years to come.
