Why I Chose Waikoloa Village on the Big Island

When I moved to the Big Island in 2003, I chose Waikoloa Village as my home for the following reasons:

  • Stand alone community (complete with shopping, post office, schools, churches, restaurants,  golf course, parks, farmers market, doctors, gas station, and plenty of common areas for hiking and dog walking)
  • Beaches! 15 minutes to best beaches on the island; Mauna Kea, Hapuna, Mau mai, Spencer, Anaeho’omalu, and Puako
  • Location and driving distance to Kona, Waimea, Kohala Mountains, and North Kohala… all within 30 minutes
  • Weather and air quality
  • Affordability

One of the newest developments within the village is Kilohana Kai. Located just off Paniolo Drive, within walking distance to Waikoloa School and the new sports and skate park, the location is perfect. With spectacular views, sidewalks, street lights, and utilities at curbside; these lots are bound to suit most everyone ready to start building now.

Of the release of the 82 lots in the final phase, only 45 are left due to a flurry of activity from homeowners and builders alike. The lot sizes range from approx. 10,000 sq. ft. – 1/2 acre, with the exception of one 3+ acre lot that should appeal to a builder, or as a family compound perhaps. (The size and zoning of this lot makes it eligible for further division, per initial inquiries with the County of Hawaii. Buyers to do their own due diligence.)

Prices starting at $174,000. While the map is current at the time of this blog post; please call, email or text me for updated availability and pricing.

Pamela:
Do you have buildable lots in Waikoloa that have an ocean view.
We are looking into building an 1800 sq ft single story home in Waikoloa.

Thanks
