Congratulations to Cherie Tsukamoto, Hawai’i REALTOR® of the Year 2023!

We are thrilled to announce that Cherie Tsukamoto has been named the 2023 Hawai’i REALTOR® of the Year by Hawai’i REALTORS®. The official announcement was on September 28 at the Hawai’i REALTORS® Trending Up conference at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This prestigious award, presented annually, spotlights an outstanding REALTOR® in Hawai’i for their exceptional contributions to fellow realtors, the community, and the real estate profession at large.

Kalama Kim, the 2023 Hawai’i REALTORS® president, had nothing but praise for Cherie and her remarkable career. He stated, “For more than four decades, Cherie has dedicated herself to making the dream of homeownership a reality for hundreds of families across Hawai’i. Through her tireless service to our communities and to our profession, Cherie exemplifies the highest ethics and values of a Hawai’i REALTOR®, and we are pleased to honor her as our 2023 Hawai’i REALTOR® of the Year.”

Cherie’s path in the world of real estate began in 1979 when she started her career on the island of Kaua’i. Today, she is proudly serving as the Broker-in-Charge of Hawaii Life’s East Oahu office, instilled with the same passion and enthusiasm that sparked her love for helping people successfully navigate real estate. She lives, works, and plays in the beautiful community of Hawai’i Kai, where she and her husband are deeply rooted and have raised their three children.

Cherie’s contributions extend far beyond her role as a real estate professional. She has previously served as a director for Hawai’i REALTORS® and chaired the organization’s Education Committee. Additionally, she held the position of director for the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® and served as the chair of the Professional Standards and Arbitration Committee. Cherie is also an instructor for the National Association of REALTORS®, teaching courses on the Graduate REALTOR® Institute, Strategies, and Code of Ethics.

Recognizing her dedication to the community and the industry, Cherie was honored in the 2023 cohort of Women Who Mean Business by Pacific Business News. She also received the 2022 Marcus Nishikawa Education and Professional Achievement Award from the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® for her volunteerism and active participation on various boards and committees.

What sets Cherie apart as a realtor are the relationships that she forges through each transaction, keeping her client’s best interests at heart as she helps grow their real estate portfolios. Her incredible journey from modest beginnings on Kaua’i to being named the 2023 Hawai’i REALTOR® of the Year is a testament to her commitment and passion for her profession and community. Her story serves as an inspiration that with hard work, perseverance, and a heart for service, one can achieve remarkable success while making a positive impact on the lives of others.
