For anyone who has enjoyed Maui’s perfect mix of natural beauty, world-class amenities, and Aloha spirit, it comes as no surprise that the Valley Isle garnered another award as “Best Island in the World” again.
In the 20 years that the readers of Conde Nast have been presenting this award, Maui has garnered the top honor 16 times, and has been the top island in the Pacific every single year. Of noteworthy mention, Kauai ranked 2nd in the world, Big Island and Oahu came in 8th and 9th, respectively, and Lanai ranked an impressive 14th. In addition, not only did Maui earn the top honor for islands, but also had the highest score for ANY tourist destination globally (island or not).
Furthermore, the “Top Hawaii Resorts” list was dominated by Maui representatives: Four Seasons at Wailea earned the top spot, followed by Hotel Hana-Maui and Honua Spa. Also on the list, Four Seasons Hualalai, with an honorable third place, which was followed by Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay; and Four Seasons Resort Lanai. Such accolades have been bestowed on Maui for quite as long as travelers have relished the Valley Isle, but to REALLY experience the Maui life difference, you have to come visit.
