As a proud member of the Hawai’i Life Charitable Fund board, I have had the opportunity to connect with so many generous people over the years. I recently had the pleasure of connecting with an amazing Canadian artist. Denyse Klette shines as a beacon of hope and innovation. In a recent display of remarkable generosity and creative thinking, Denyse raised over $12,500.00 ($16,465.00 CAD) in less than two days to honor the memory of Holle Fine Art Gallery, a local art gallery in Lahaina which fell victim to the devastating Lahaina fires. Alongside the Hawai’i Life matching campaign, which is now matching up to $117,000.00, Denyse’s impact will reach upwards of $25,000.00. Her unique approach to fundraising not only serves as a testament to her artistic prowess but also highlights the power of community support and thinking outside the box.

Lahaina has long been a haven for artists, creatives, and art enthusiasts showcasing the region’s diverse artistic heritage. Holle Fine Art Gallery was a new addition representing both emerging and renowned artists from around the world.
