Anini beach is one of my favorite North Shore beaches. It stretches several miles along a windy, country coastal road with numerous places to pull off and set up camp for the day, which I do on a regular basis with my 2 little ones.
Crystal clear water
The reef offers protection from pounding surf most of the year, so there is great snorkeling, swimming, fishing, diving, kayaking, and the likes of water sports! It is one of few beaches that can accommodate windsurfers, kite surfers, “normal” surfers, and stand up paddlers.
Look left, and the horses at the polo field create a feeling of old Hawaiian paniolo lifestyle. Look right, and the peaceful lagoons offers hundreds of shades of Pacific blue. (Look at the road if you are driving!) Paradise awaits 🙂

Aloha Cate.. as a mauka side resident of Puako Beach on the Big Island, I can attest to the fact that it’s a great life living across the street from the beach, and no need tons of cash! Anini is soooo special too, I can totally envision living there! btw – your baby is adorable!
