And of course, the seemingly always expanding Ala Moana Center and the shops at Ward are only about five minutes away. You’ll never have an excuse not to shop!

Punchbowl and nearby Makiki are home to hidden neighborhood gems such as the nearly 20-year-old Sure Shot Cafe. Opened in 1998, this award-winning small business sells fresh baked pastries and desserts, made-from scratch soups, espresso drinks, shakes, and smoothies.
Other popular (and yummy) restaurants are nearby such as one of my personal favorites, Doraku Sushi. Doraku opened in Ward recently and I love not having to drive into Waikiki to go to the original location. Regulars love the “Doraku roll,” “Brownie Tempura,” and the happy hour specials!
