Adopt-A-Highway Kudos to Our 9/16/22 Volunteers

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our clean-up a big SUCCESS! Please check out the attached photos to see the team in action.

Special shout out to agents Dan M, Patti I, Jake V & Ashley L (who just recently passed her RE exams), and from the Element Mortgage crew, John & Nicky (and Nicky’s friend Heidi). Special thanks to my besties, Diane H, Lisa K, Donna O, Teresa M, Julie H, Tiffany S, Ming C, Skye M, and my sister, Jenni, who continue to show up to help tidy up! Thank you to Holly H who volunteered with us for the first time! She is the President and Founder of Popoki Place, Oahu’s Cat Sanctuary. To learn more about her non-profit, visit popokiplace.org.

Also, thank you to those who usually volunteer and reached out to say they will try to make the next one!

We collected approximately 25 bags of rubbish this time around!

Save the Date

November 20, 2022, will be our next highway clean up. We will focus on cleaning Kalanianaole Highway, while the Kaiwi Coast – Hui Nalu – Run Walk is taking place. We’ve cleaned this stretch of highway for years and it’s extra special – as we get to walk from Sandy Beach to Maunalua Bay – while there is no traffic! The run was put on hold for the past two years – so there will be plenty of garbage to collect. Many hands make for a lighter load!

To volunteer to help clean the Kal Hwy on November 20, 2022, please RSVP to Kim Soares at KimSoares@HawaiiLife.com or call 808.781.6600.

To register and learn more about the Hui Nalu – Kaiwi Coast Run, please check out their website at www.kaiwicoastrun.org.
