Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon

If you’re not familiar with the race, the Lavaman Waikoloa Triathlon is typically a relay race “for the people.” It includes a 1.5K Swim at Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, a 40K Bike Ride on Queen Kaahumanu Hwy along the Ironman Bike Course and back into the resort, and a 10K Run through the Waikoloa Beach Resort and the grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Though the race is sold out, this year, due to the large amount of cancellations, the 2015 Lavaman Waikoloa registration has reopened with special charity slots. These slots are for individual slots only (no relays) and are priced at $350 per person. $100 of the registration fee will be donated to the LavaKids program, which encourages local youth to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. If you’re interested in a charity spot, please visit the race website today!

Additional Information

If you are not interested in participating in this race, the Lavaman Sunset 5K Fun Run/Walk is being held Friday, March 27, 2015, at 5:15pm at the Queen’s Marketplace at Waikoloa Beach Resort. You can download the application online.

If racing isn’t really your thing, you can always become a volunteer. For more information on how to join the LavaKids, please visit their website.
