Coronavirus
With everything going on with Coronavirus, do you know where to go if you need to be tested? Hi, this is Fawn Bertram with Homes by Fawn and Hawaii Life Real Estate.
COVID-19
There’s very little information on where to go if you need to get tested for COVID-19. This hits very close to home since my son has always battled Asthma. He almost died from Influenza B and was hospitalized for over a week. This virus is very scary since it’s a respiratory illness.
Where Do You Go
The question is, where do you go to get tested? Urgent Care Hawaii has 3 facilities that are offering drive-through testing in Pearl City, Kapolei, and Kailua.
Urgent Care of Hawaii says you must call your primary care physician or further assessment before coming to the facility for a test.
Checklist
The checklist for Urgent Care of Hawaii is:
- If you’ve had contact with person(s) who has/had a positive COVID-19 test result.
- Fever of 100.4 or higher for over 24 hours
- Cough
- Recent travel to Asia, Iran, Italy, France and Mainland US
- Recent contact with People who recently traveled to Asia, Italy, France and the Mainland US.
If item #1 or #2 are checked off or if #3 plus #1, #4 and #5 are checked off, they’re instructing
patients to go back to their vehicle and go to the drive-up screening area. Patients are to remain inside their vehicle until the staff calls them in.
Hotline Number
Queens Hospital has a hotline number for a phone screening. This is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The number is 808-691-2691.

Hygiene
Remember to wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Keep your distance from others. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. Disinfect doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, computers, phones, keyboards, sinks, toilets and countertops at least once a day.
Be safe out there, and stay healthy. If you know of anymore screening sites or helpful tips, leave a comment below.
