New Development Wailele Ridge in Napili Broke Ground

After a rather long wait, all the permits are in place and Bach Development has just broken ground for the construction of Wailele Ridge, the newest development in the Napili area.

Known for its daily rainbows, the Napili area is coveted by many residents and guests for the beauty of Napili Bay and its rather less discovered mountainside with small farms, red dirt roads, ironwood trees, and rainy afternoons. Napili is also an area that has a moratorium on any sky rise building, which will maintain the feel of a small village.

Wailele Ridge is the only development in the Napili area, mauka of the highway, offering not only amazing views of the ocean, stretching from Lanai to Molokai, and Kapalua coastline, but also very soothing mountain views.

Phase 1

The first phase of Wailele Ridge will focus on seven buildings located at the South end of the development, with 1 bed, 2 bed, and 3 bed condominiums priced between low $400,000’s and mid $800,000’s. Buildings have 4 to 6 units per building, and some of the units are townhouse-style, sharing common walls, but no neighbors above or below. Most of the units have their own lanai and garage and square footages range from 500 sq.ft. for 1 bed to over 1,500 sq.ft. for a 3 bed unit.

The start of the project is not very glamorous: a water retention basin by the highway, configuring the roads to the subdivision and doing all the ground work. A meeting of the owners of parcels in the area took place early this week, to discuss the destiny of Hui A, Hui B, and Hui C roads. For a long time, ownership of these roads was quite an enigma, with responsibility shifting from the County to Maui Land and Pineapple Company.
