Waikoloa Home Sales for December End Year With Moderate Strength

Waikoloa home sales in December were low in number but fairly strong in price. The year ended with a total of 5 home sales at an average price of $386,900. This compares to December of 2011 sales of 4 homes at an average price of $350,875.

It now looks like 2012 was the year that sales prices started to climb back up across the Big Island. Waikoloa also showed a rise in sales prices in 2012 and a drop in number of homes for sale.

Here is a look at the homes that sold in December:

Waikoloa Short Sales Drop in Number

The number of short sales has drastically dropped in the past year and as the year closed out, December short sales were down to 40% of total sales.
