SKY Ala Moana | New Honolulu Condos For Sale

SKY Ala Moana launched its sales on April 1st and the public lottery for Owner Occupant Buyers is Saturday, April 13th.

The two-tower complex will rise 43 stories and 400’ high, located at 1388 Kapiolani, across the street from the new Central Ala Moana condo project and Ala Moana Center. The construction will begin upon completion of 65% of sales and is expected to be completed by 2021.

The east tower will include a mix of 300 hotel rooms & suites and 84 affordable studios, 1BRs and 2BRs (what they are calling Flats). The plan is for the hotel to be a four-star property. The west tower will offer 390 market 1BR and 2BR residences. Half of these residences, those on even numbered floors, are reserved for “owner occupants.” Owner Occupant Buyers must be pre-qualified, registered and participate in the lottery.

The developer, Avalon Group, has partnered with some of the best companies in Hawaii including Design Partners Architecture, Philpotts Interiors, Brownlie & Lee Landscaping, and Flux Branding.

SKY Corner Residence

All residences will have a lanai or private yard (8th floor only), offer floor to ceiling windows, Bosch appliances, Grohe fixtures, and Silestone quartz countertops. Rental terms for the residences will be just 30 days. One bedroom, one bathroom units range in size from 619 to 655 square feet. Two bedroom, two bathroom units range in size from 883 to 1321 square feet. Sizes include either the lanai or yard. The 1BR residences start at $568,800 and 2BR residences start at $785,300.

This is a dream home for animal lovers, like myself. The pet policy is up to 2 pets, 60 pounds each. The maintenance fee is set to be just $0.94/sf which is very reasonable for a Honolulu condo with such extensive amenities.

SKY Terrace

The amenity deck, called Sky Terrace, will be approximately 53,900 square feet and feature multiple lawns, two pools, pool and BBQ cabanas, a children’s play area, a dog run, and an outdoor fitness area. The towers will have on-site restaurants, a fitness center and spa, 16,000 square feet of Sky Shops, 933 parking stalls, and 428 bike stalls.
