Ossipoff Designed Home on the Market in Wailua, Kauai

One of only a few homes here on Kauai designed by Vladimir Ossipoff is now on the market.

Sitting on approximately three and a half acres, this property is situated above Opaekaa Stream and Falls, and has amazing mountain views. The 4 bed/3 bath home (MLS# 204877) sits adjacent to Nonou (Sleeping Giant) State Forest Reserve and the Opaekaa Stream runs along the property making for a peaceful setting.

4 bed/3 bath Ossipoff designed home situated on approximate 3.5 acres above Opaekaa Falls, currently on the market for $2,100,000

It’s no secret that Ossipoff is considered the Frank Lloyd Wright of Hawaii. He is considered by many to be the master of Hawaii modern architecture.

Vladimir Ossipoff said, in the early 1960’s, that he carried on a “War on Ugliness,” a struggle to counter what he felt was poor architectural design and unrestricted development of Honolulu. His design style to incorporate all the natural elements we find around us on the islands makes for a simple, yet elegant home that will appeal to many generations to come.

You are right, there are only a half dozen or less Ossipoff homes here on Kauai and this one is stunning. Thanks for sharing it with your readers. There is an architectural buff out there that will certainly want to see this home.
