Joint Base on Oahu offers all the usual fast food options to everybody working or living on base. However, there are a couple of unique options to try for breakfast, lunch, and now dinner.
Jaggers
“Jaggers” reopened on Pearl Harbor and serves breakfast and lunch from 5:30am to 2pm. It is hard to find a decent bagel on Oahu, but Jaggers serves a dizzying array of bagels and topping combinations to satisfy even the toughest critics. There is an ample sandwhich menu as well. It has charming cabaret booths and ample seating for large parties. Most items are priced from $7 to $9, and there is good free Wifi. Located in Building 223, there’s ample parking across the street.
Wright Brothers Café
Wright Brothers Café has an incredible view at the entrance to Pearl Harbor and is located next to the historic Hickam Officer’s Club on Hickam Field. Indoor and outdoor seating make this a busy breakfast and lunch spot. (April 8th starts dinner service.)
Large portions priced under 10 dollars make it a must. Large pancakes and waffles, eggs, and beyond. They also have ala carte and hot buffet lunch. The setting is historic and exciting, and the dining is no frills American cuisine.
Enjoy!
Next door at the Officer’s Club they still have their famous Mongolian BBQ Dinner, which has been running over 40 years now on Thursday nights. You are bound to find a favorite dish at these 3 Joint Base eateries. Enjoy!
