Happy Aloha Friday! Skies are clear and few things feels as good as the trade winds coming through to break up the hot afternoons. We have some great events going on this weekend on Maui including Paddle Imua, which is such a great community sponsored event to support children with special needs.
Paddle Imua 2022
This Sunday, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Maliko Gulch, we have this year’s Paddle Imua event! This event highlights the meaning of Aloha as it requires support and generosity from numerous Maui businesses as well as volunteers and athletes. Paddlers for Stand-Up Paddleboards (SUP), Outrigger Canoes (OC1, OC2 & OC6), Prone Paddleboards, Surf Skis can register to participate online or at event. This multi-discipline race supports Camp Imua, a recreational camp experience for special needs children. Sign up before Sunday at noon. I did!

Jo Koy – Funny is Funny World Tour at the MACC
Local favorite Joy Koy has sold out 8 shows on Maui this week. If you were lucky enough to get tickets, you may be busting guts laughing tonight or tomorrow night.

The Importance of Being Earnest at the Historic Iao Theater
Written by Oscar Wilde and Directed by Todd Van Amburgh, this Victorian Era satire will be on display at the Historic Iao Theater for the final 3 weekends in July. Showtimes are: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. This was Oscar Wilde’s final and most popular and acclaimed play. The satire shines through in the play’s subtitle, “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People”.
Special Opening Night Fundraiser tonight includes pre-show party beginning at 5:30 pm with drinks and appetizers in the theater before show starts.

Keiki Club at the Queen K Center

Bring the kids by the Queen K Center tomorrow morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for Keiki Club in the Keiki play area. Presented by Queen Ka’ahumanu Center and Maui Ocean Center, kids have the opportunity to learn about Hawaii’s vast sea life from one of MOC’s Marine Naturalists. Enter to win giveaways and enjoy family friendly festivities!

Race 6 of Regatta Season
This Saturday’s race, Dougie Tihada, is sponsored by Napili and takes off from Hanakao’o Park next to the Hyatt in Kaanapali and two doors down from our favorite Kaanapali Alii, which you will read more about in an upcoming blog. Get there early. This is an all-day event.
