Aloha friends! This weekend on Maui brings you 3 nights of laughs. Rex Navarette will be at the MACC Friday night. Saturday night features Free Range Comedy at ProArts Maui. ProArts Maui also brings you a night of improv on Sunday night. The Maui Classical Music Festival closes this weekend with the finale on Sunday and “Striking Contrasts” on Friday night. I also wanted to take the time to remind you that the Maui Gift and Craft Fair at the Lahaina Gateway has been back on Sundays for some time now.
Rex Navarette
The MACC presents Rex Navarette this Friday night with special guest James Mane. Rex has toured internationally and performed with many top headliners including Robin Williams, George Lopez, Russell Peters, and Ali Wong. Show starts at 7 pm. Doors and pre-concert food and beverage available at 5 pm. This event will be a collection site for the Maui Food Bank. Please bring items that would be useful to our neighbors affected by the fires.
Comedy At ProArts Maui – 2 Nights
ProArts Maui is also delivering laughs this weekend. Saturday night features Free Range Comedy. This is an improv troupe specializing in short form improv a la “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” Show starts at 7:30 and seating at 7:00 pm. Sunday night you can catch the Maui Improv Monthly Showcase. Maui Improv is nominated Maui’s best theater company. They present at ProArts Maui the last Sunday of every month. Show starts 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Maui Classical Music Festival
Maui On Stage presents the Maui Classical Music Festival at the Classic I’ao Theater. There will be a performance Friday night at 7 pm and a matinee on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. Sunday is the “Festival Finale” and the theme Friday is “Striking Contrasts.”
Maui Gift and Craft Fair
I wanted to make sure everyone knew the Maui Gift and Craft Fair has been back on at the Lahaina Gateway. The fair takes place every Sunday from 9 am – 2 pm. This is one of Maui’s largest craft shows featuring over 50 vendors and plenty of parking. Make a day of it with lots of great dining and family fun options nearby too.
