Aloha friends! The last weekend of September has a little something for everyone on Maui, from live music and comedy at the MACC and ProArts to a family-friendly art day, Oktoberfest at Maui Brewing Co., Women Rock! at deVine, and the big Na Wahine O Ke Kai crossing. Whether you are looking for a night out, something fun with the keiki, or a way to support local performers and organizations, here are a few happenings to keep on your radar.
Morgan Jay: Goofy Guy Tour
Friday night at the MACC brings a mix of music and comedy with Morgan Jay’s Goofy Guy Tour at Castle Theater. The show starts at 7 pm, and Morgan brings an interactive style that blends standup, songs, crowd work, and plenty of goofy charm. This one may contain mature subject matter, and patrons are asked to bring non-perishable items for the Maui Food Bank. Tickets and details are available through Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Couplet: Honey Honey Moon Moon
ProArts Playhouse has a fun Saturday night option with Couplet: Honey Honey Moon Moon, a musical comedy from comedy band and married duo Couplet. The show starts at 7:30 pm and runs about 75 minutes with no intermission. Expect catchy songs, big comedy energy, and a honeymoon story that somehow includes bed bugs, wildfires, and one very judgy couples therapist. Tickets and details are available through ProArts Playhouse.
Home In The Islands

Saturday night at the MACC brings a beautiful celebration of Hawaiʻi music with Home In The Islands at Castle Theater. The show starts at 7 pm and features Henry Kapono, Jerry Santos, Keola Beamer, and more, bringing together legendary voices, island songs, and the next generation of Hawaiʻi artists. A portion of the proceeds will support hurricane relief through The Food Basket on Hawaiʻi Island, and the MACC will also be collecting non-perishable donations for the Maui Food Bank. Tickets and details are available through Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Maui Brewing Co. Oktoberfest

Maui Brewing Co. Kihei is bringing back its 8th Annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 27, from 5 to 8 pm. Expect live music, festive games, Oktoberfest-inspired food, plenty of beer, and a good excuse to dust off the lederhosen. The event is free and open to everyone, with limited-edition steins available for purchase while they last. Details are available through the Maui Brewing Co. events calendar.
Women Rock!

deVine Wine Lounge Maui presents Women Rock! this Sunday from 2 to 9 pm. This will be a great event to honor talented and amazing women on Maui. Live performances by Danyel Alana, Joie Yasha, and Tanama. Pop-ups for women run businesses on Maui featuring art, jewelry and health and wellness items will be on hand throughout the event. Rose’ specials from 3 – 8 pm. Head down for a fun event that supports women!
Na Wahine O Ke Kai
Na Wahine O Ke Kai, the prestigious women’s long-distance outrigger canoe race, takes place this weekend. The event is scheduled for Sunday, with crews launching from Hale O Lono Harbor on Molokai and paddling across the Kaiwi Channel to Waikiki on Oahu. Good Luck to all!
Anything Else This Weekend or Next?
I am always looking to promote other weekend activities for Maui organizations. If we are missing anything, drop me a line any time for future happenings. Mahalo!!!
