Ka Malanai in Kailua: You Could Save Over $10,000 By Buying Now

D.R. Horton’s new condo construction in Kailua has created quite a buzz here on Oahu! The six buildings that were erected on the five-acre site are handsomely situated in three groups of two, with courtyards in between and parking on the first floor of each building. The tasteful color scheme blends in with Kailua’s beachy feel and truly sets the Ka Malanai condos within the landscape of the town.

Most of the condos were sold during the two lotteries, held in 2013 and 2014. Some units, however, still remain and D.R. Horton is offering end of year incentives.

Buyers who contract on a home by December 31, 2015 and close by January 31, 2016 will receive up to $6,000 on closing costs on any unit at Ka Malanai, regardless of lender used. Additionally, these buyers will have maintenance fees waived for up to six months.

What Sets Ka Malanai Apart From Other Kailua Condos?

Square footage measurements for 2 bed/2 bath Ka Malanai condos are larger than 2 bed/2 bath condos at Poinciana Manor or Gardenia Manor. Ka Malanai condos are brand new construction, whereas Poinciana Manor and Gardenia Manor were both built in the 1970’s. And despite all of those bonuses, Ka Malanai is lower priced than Bluestone condos! A recently sold condo in the Bluestone community, of comparable size to the Ka Malanai 2-bedroom units, was built 36 years ago but sold at $985,000, whereas listing prices for Ka Malanai units of that size, built in 2015, range from $805,250 to $848,000.
