An article just published in Gallop.com states people who live in Hawaii are the happiest in the U.S. according to the latest Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.
Kailua Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
Our state maintained the No. 1 status for well being for the 3rd year in a row. The data is based on daily surveys conducted from January to December 2011. Hawaii’s high scores on the Emotional Health and Healthy Behaviors Indexes helped us to keep the top spot.
In the Emotional Health Index, it states that Hawaii residents were the most likely to say they smiled or laughed a lot “yesterday” and were the least likely to report daily worry, stress, or depression. As for the Healthy Behaviors Index, good eating and exercise habits, along with lower smoking rates, clinched the top spot there.
Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii
So, if you are “on the fence” in deciding to move to Hawaii, it’s time to get off your “okole” and join all the rest of the happy residents of Hawaii! Just call 808.721.7876 or email me Cheryl@HawaiiLife.com and I’ll help you find your home in paradise!

Great article, thanks for sharing! I saw a documentary by scientist Richard Hoagland who said that Hawaii is in a special healing vortex on the 19.5 degree latitude of the Earth’s geomancy. Must be another reason why people heal quickly in Hawaii!
