“In Hawaii’s hot housing market, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist has sold an oceanfront compound on Maui for $42 million.
Located in Makena, on Maui’s south shore, the property comprises two parcels with roughly 1.2 acres combined, according to public records. The sellers are Pierre Lamond and his wife, Christine Lamond, records show. Mr. Lamond was an early player in the semiconductor industry and worked at Sequoia Capital and Khosla Ventures.
The sale is the latest in a series of $40 million-plus deals in Hawaii, where the luxury market took off during the pandemic. ”
