Although we’ve all heard the phrase, “Kaua’i rains all the time,” we know it’s simply not true. Yes, Mt. Wai’ale’ale is one of the wettest spots on earth, receiving over 400 inches of precipitation each year. However, Kaua’i enjoys one of the most stable and consistent climates on earth. It’s location and isolation from other land masses result in prevailing tradewinds and near-perfect weather patterns with humidity percentages ranging in the 60’s and low 70’s.
Kaua'i Beauty
The weather on the Kaua’i’s north shore tends to be cooler and wetter with an average temperature of 73 degrees. On the west side, the weather is warmer and drier with an average temperature of 80 degrees. Whether Kaua’i is your home year-round, or for a few days at a time, we truly enjoy the best weather on the planet!

When people ask my wife and I why we chose to live on Kauai, we usually respond with “the weather” followed by “the beauty.”

Living in paradise (aka Kauai) with micro climates to explore and spectacular year round glorious weather is like living a National Geographic moment every day. Each morning at dawn when I awake and head to the beach the amazing beauty which is ever changing around me makes my heart warm with the natural beauty the surrounds us here. If it has been storming we have gushing water falls, when it is calm we have singing birds and brilliant flowers, when the light rain falls we have double rainbows everywhere and no matter what the days weather brings we always have our marine rich Pacific Ocean.
