This week’s work perk came in the form of getting airborne and taking my efforts to new heights, literally. Aboard a helicopter sans all four doors I got the chance to soar high above the North Shore and capture some more encompassing views of one of the listings I represent — a 34-acre property perched above Secrets Beach.

What my good friend, Linda, from Oahu and I didn’t foresee hopping into this flying vessel was the opportunity we’d get to drink in Kauai and all its natural wonder along the way.

From behemoth whales breaching and pods of frolicking dolphins to numerous waterfalls and verdant landscapes, I was once again reminded of something I can overlook in my day-to-day pursuits — why I moved to Hawaii in the first place. It’s startling how clear life’s hues become when we take a moment to witness them.

So true Roni. I remind myself everyday how grateful I am as I cross the Hanalei bridge and marvel at the sunlight on the Tara fields and then paddle out in our magnificent waters.
