Airshow Information and Details
The Blue Angels are back in Hawaii! Like a right of passage, here on Oahu, the Kaneohe Bay Airshow marks the start of Fall for us. This event is a grand family adventure and show. Featured performers include a bevy of civilian stunt pilots and sky divers.
- Where: Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay
- When: This year is scheduled for September 29-30, 2012.
- Start Time: Gates open at 9:00 am.
What Makes the Show So Exciting?
What really makes the show so exciting is the performances of The U.S. Navy Parachute Team “Leap Frogs” and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels precision flying team. If you have never seen the Blue Angels fly, you are really in for a heart thumping exhilarating time!
I saw the Blue Angels fly during Fleet Week in San Francisco in 2008. It was, truly, one of the most spectacular performances I’ve ever seen. My daughter and I attended both days braving countless hours in traffic jams to get there, and a lot of foot traffic. Worth every moment!
What To Expect at the 2012 Kaneohe Bay Airshow
This year marks the Marine Aviation Centennial, so I expect the show to be especially exciting. Make the trek out to Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay, you will experience a fantastic airshow with plenty of performances to keep everyone engaged.
In addition to the air performers, you can also enjoy the Taste of Oahu food booths, military vehicle displays and Xtreme Fun Children’s Carnival Rides. Come on out to KBay, celebrate our military, celebrate fall, celebrate fun! You’ll find me in the front row!

I wish I could be there for the show. I have seen the Blue Angles perform. Itʻs amazing! Aerial acrobatics at its best.
