Condominium sales totaled 813 in the second quarter of 2009, down 27.5% from the second quarter of 2008.
The median price of condominiums was $307,500 in the second quarter of 2009, a 6.8% decrease from the second quarter of 2008, and up 2.5% from the first quarter of 2009.
The total dollar volume of sales on Oahu was $724 million in the second quarter of 2009, a 27.4% decrease from the second quarter of 2008.
The following Oahu neighborhoods saw an increase in the median price for single family homes in the second quarter of 2009 compared to the first quarter: Metro Oahu (Town), Diamond Head, Kailua, North Shore, Central Oahu, and Waipahu. Home prices decreased in Hawaii Kai, Kaneohe, Leeward Coast, Ewa Plain, Makakilo, and Pearl City.
The following Oahu neighborhoods saw an increase in the median price for condominiums in the second quarter of 2009 compared to the first quarter: Metro Oahu (Town), Diamond Head, Kailua, Leeward Coast, Makakilo, and Pearl City. Condo prices decreased in Hawaii Kai, Kaneohe, North Shore, Central Oahu, Ewa Plain, and Waipahu.
