It’s fun being a Realtor and finding hidden gems on the Big Island and floorplans that just sparkle. I have been in multiple Waikoloa Hills condos, located within Waikoloa Village, but I’ve never seen a floorplan like condo #801.
I was honored to be the listing agent when this home recently changed hands; I worked with a wonderful seller who had a great eye for updating this Big Island condo and turning it into a short-term vacation rental property. The condo sold on May 27, 2022, to great buyers who also really enjoyed the floorplan and the little extra touches the seller added to the condo.
About Waikoloa Hills
Located a very short distance from the Waikoloa shopping centers, Waikoloa Hills has 78 condos with four different floorplans. Out of those units, 31 are occupied by full-time owners, with 47 of them being second homes or investor-owned.
In the center of the complex is the pool area with a hot tub, BBQ area, kitchen, and bathrooms. It’s the perfect area to reserve and enjoy with family and friends for special occasions.
Each unit is assigned one outdoor parking stall. Hooded gas or electric barbecues are allowed on the lanais, and lanai sunshades and plastic storage units are allowed per HOA guidelines. The HOA, however, does not allow pets.
About Condo #801
With vaulted ceilings, extra windows, and four lanais, the home is filled with an abundance of natural light. Having multiple lanais allows for even more light, more nature, and more privacy, especially since the downstairs lanai looks out at Waikoloa’s open space.
This condo is a ground-floor end unit with a great floorplan of 1100 square feet of living space. Both bedrooms are spacious, located on the second floor, and have their own small lanais. The kitchen looks out into the living room, which further adds to the open floorplan feel. The countertops are tiled and there is lots of storage space.
The Big Island condo was sold furnished and is currently a rental with an active short-term vacation rental (STVR) permit.
About Waikoloa Village
Waikoloa Village is centrally located on the west side of the Big Island, and I believe this is one of the best locations on the entire island because it’s so close to everything. It’s about 25 minutes to Kona, 20 minutes to Waimea, 20 minutes to the best beaches such as Hapuna and Mauna Kea, and very close to Saddle Road, which takes you over to Hilo.
The community has two shopping centers (one is currently being built), an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, and a large community pool.
Happy Sellers and Buyers
I am honored to represent the owner of this condo and his successful sale. It was also wonderful to help sell the condo to such great buyers. I wish the buyers the best of luck on their rental property and its successful future.
