Aloha is more than a greeting shared between two people, it is a joyful sharing of spiritual energy. So how do you take that beautiful spirit and bring it to life for others to see and feel? You create a space that embraces the beauty and tradition of Hawaii. A place where Aloha comes to life, where you can see, touch, and feel what makes this island home so special.
Art Gallery Meets Interactive Museum
The owners of the popular Breakout Waikiki have struck again, bringing life to Aloha in their new attraction, Epic Aloha. Matt Baysinger and Ryan Heinrich are the creative masterminds behind a space that you have to see and feel to understand. Imagine art gallery meets interactive museum and you have a glimpse into what Epic Aloha has to offer. And in the day of social media and photo ops, Epic Aloha has limitless possibilities for the perfect shot. Imagine the perfect backdrop for your Instagram post, boomerang or selfie.
My daughter and I were fortunate enough to attend the VIP event for a sneak peek and we had a blast! A space where a teenage daughter and her mother can come together in laughter, Boomerangs, and hundreds of photos is indeed a magical place.
“We created Epic Aloha, because we believe life is better when shared,” explained Baysinger. “Our goal is to gather people for shared experiences, and Epic Aloha is certainly a way to encourage people to spend time together. As I look around my house, and the house of my friends and family, they are often decorated with beautiful and fun family photos. We wanted to give people an opportunity to be a part of making memories together, whether they end up on an Instagram feed or framed in someone’s home. Basically, we want people to spend time together, and we’re thrilled to be able to help set the metaphorical table for people to have fun together.”
Harness your creativity, as the possibilities in this space are limitless. Bring your family, friends and wardrobe changes, because the more you let your imagination run wild, the more fun you’ll have.
Epic Aloha’s Sustainability Mission
But Epic Aloha isn’t only an amazing space for creative photography, it also provides an opportunity to learn more about reducing plastic waste and protecting our oceans, through exhibits of single-use water bottles and a mural made from recovered plastic from Hawaii’s beaches. Because protecting the ‘Aina is important to Baysinger and Heinrich, they donate $1 of every ticket sold to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, which supports coastal stewardship.
With graduation and summer quickly approaching, this is the ideal time to grab your family and friends and head to Epic Aloha!
