Hawai‘i Life is a big supporter of the Hawaiian Islands Land Trust (HILT). HILT is raising awareness and is supporting the preservation efforts of the Hawaiian Islands, plants, and species.
HILT, at the beautiful Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute in Ko Olina on Oahu, hosted the E Malama Aina Kakou 2017 event to raise funds for conservation of our beautiful landscape. Thousands of dollars were donated by Hawai‘i Life Real Estate Brokers and its agents, along with many individuals different industries to this great cause. Currently, there are almost 18,000 acres of conservation land in Hawai‘i.
With the support of caring individuals and companies, land, plants, and animals are being saved and preserved for future generations to enjoy.
Each year, HILT selects a person, group, or organization that has made a big impact in the conservation efforts in Hawai‘i.
On Friday, Matt Beall, Hawai‘i Life Owner / Principal Broker, presented Sam and Mary Cooke, the founders of the non-profit Manoa Heritage Center, with a recognition award for their long-term conservation work and education. The Manoa Heritage Center was established in 1996 and is a 3.5-acre living classroom that promotes the understanding of Hawai‘i’s natural and cultural heritage.
Hawai‘i Life’s charitable giving doesn’t stop just here. Hawai‘i Life is dedicated to supporting our community and our beautiful land.
For years Hawai‘i Life has been contributing to various causes that are important to the agents, clients, and the general public through the Hawai‘i Life Charitable Fund (HLCF), where the mission statement is: “Working to preserve Hawai‘i’s beauty and culture by supporting its people.”
