“I am writing to let you know about our experience with one of your agents, Donna Duryea. My husband, Marc, and I met Donna at one of her open houses. We were working with another agent from another agency at the time. We had submitted an offer on a house we fell in love with, and our agent came back to us after a few days and told us another offer was submitted and we lost the house. We were heartbroken.
When Marc and I met Donna, we told her our sad story and she listened and said, “I was the agent for that house.” We were stunned. We felt like we met Donna for a reason. I don’t believe in accidents or chance, I believe in Devine Providence, and I felt like even though we lost our dream house, it was still our house.
I wanted Donna to be our agent. From the moment I met her I sensed her passion, intelligence, drive, and positive attitude. I called and asked her to represent us and we started looking for houses together. She was always available, well prepared, on time, and fun to be with. Donna assured us if anything happened with our dream house she would let us know.
As it happened, there was a problem with the escrow, and we thought we had another chance, but while Donna was taking us to see another house the buyer’s agent called and said the problem was worked out. We were crushed a second time. Donna remained positive that we would find our house. Weeks went by and she kept in contact by phone and e-mails. Just when we had resolved to look into building a house, Donna called us with the news that our dream house was available.
Tomorrow we are going to go and look at it again. We have a signed contract, and feel so blessed and grateful for this wonderful woman who never gave up hope, was always positive, and gave us 200%. She has the most amazing personality and represents all the best qualities you would want in an agent and person. She personifies the “Aloha Spirit” of Hawaii.
Marc and I know she has made our dream come true. This is the house we hope to live the rest of our lives in, and Donna made our dream a reality. She deserves much more than a commission. If there are any honor or accolades, she deserves them all. We feel blessed to know her.”
