Winston Welborn, Hawaii Life’s own chief design officer, shared his wisdom on great design and marketing with a crowd of hundreds at the annual Inman Connect San Francisco conference. The conference brings thousands of agents, brokers, and vendors together to talk real estate and learn the latest trends.
Winston was invited to be part of the marketing track at Inman and share what he has learned about real estate marketing. In a talk that had the entire room laughing in acknowledgment, he shared some examples of poor design.
His philosophy is that the details matter in properly marketing a home. Both the photography and the words used to describe the listing have to be apt and correct. All content should speak to the specifics of the property and he urged the agents in the room to write words, not superlatives.
Real estate signs are often the most overlooked, yet the most visible part of a real estate company. Where some see the same old thing, Winston sees an underutilized opportunity to surprise and delight the potential buyer. For more on Winston’s presentation, please visit Inman.com.
