VIDEO: Check Out the 2019 Kona Brewers Festival in Kona

Hawaii Life and our team of agent volunteers recently took part in the 24th annual Kona Brewers Festival held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii in March. The community came out in full force to support and enjoy this annual community event, popular since 1996.

The annual fundraiser is organized by Hawaii Island’s Ke Kai Ala Foundation, and serves more than 20 Hawaii Island charitable programs dedicated to environmental and youth causes, as well as cultural preservation and celebration.

Set on the beautiful shores of Kamakahonu Bay, Kona Brewers Festival features more than 35 small-batch, local brewers and about the same number of local chefs showcasing their delicious local cuisine.

The day kicked off with at 7:30 a.m. with a 5K Run/Walk known as the “Run for Hops” on March 9th. The sold-out afternoon celebration featured live music by some of Hawaii’s best, a “trashonista” fashion show, a homebrew competition, and of course, a full afternoon of gourmet food sampling and craft beer tasting.

Hawaii Life agents volunteered their time to help raise money for community causes supported through the ‘Kona Brew Fest’.

Hawaii Life’s team of  volunteers operated a photo booth throughout the event with proceeds going to the Ke Kai Ala Foundation.

Ten Hawaii Life real estate agents volunteered their time, including Hilo Broker-in-Charge Leiola Augustine and Hawaii Life Charitable Fund Vice Chair Linda Hussey.  Our Oahu-based lending partner Meena Na, joined our Big Island pros for a day of sun, fun, fundraising, photos, and smiles all around.

This was as much fun as it looked like on the video. What a great way to earn money for good causes!
