You’re grateful. I’m grateful. But, do we express our gratitude? If you are like me, you probably feel gratitude more than you actually express it. And sadly, unexpressed gratitude can actually communicate ingratitude. That’s right. When we fail to express our gratitude, it can be experienced by others as ingratitude.
So, if you want to make sure that others know how much you appreciate them, tell them. It’s the expression of gratitude that counts. Don’t let your pride, busyness, or complacency keep you from expressing thanks to those who deserve to hear how much you appreciate them.
In fact, what if we all tried to “out-grateful” one another? What would it be like if we all got more intentional about saying, “Thank you”? And, not just in a perfunctory way. What would it look like and feel like to tell all those who have contributed to our lives, “Mahalo”?
Let’s acknowledge that none of us have gotten where we are without the help and support of others. And let’s close the gratitude gap by expressing our gratitude to those who make a difference in our lives.
So, on that note, I want to thank the whole Hawaii Life crew for your continued help, support, and contribution to our customers and clients, our company, our community, our industry, and to me personally. You guys rock and I am grateful. Truly!
Happy Thanksgiving!
