Spotlight on Chelsea Dimin – Finding Inspiration in Maui’s Natural Beauty

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chelsea Dimin has been loving her Maui life since 2010. “I get to live in the most beautiful place in the world on the North Shore of Maui, surrounded by good people with the Aloha spirit,” says this realtor, barre and yoga teacher who loves being active in nature.

“I’m inspired when it’s just me, the ocean, the sky and the sun beaming down on my salty skin. Looking back at Maui from the water reminds me of how grateful I am to be alive, to be healthy, and to live my Hawaii Life. It’s from this place of gratitude that I am able to re-energize, tap into my creativity, and genuinely smile,” says Chelsea.

She’s seen her share of winters growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and dreaming of island life. Chelsea earned a B.A. in Journalism and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin. With dreams of a career in broadcast journalism, Chelsea road tripped with her dad to L.A. just two days after graduation. It was a gamechanger.

She launched her career as a Broadcast and Digital media buyer at an ad agency in Playa Del Rey, moving into an apartment just a block from the beach in Hermosa Beach. Living off of canned rice and beans and counting her change to pay the bills, she moved her way up to advertising sales account executive.

Eventually, she grew tired of the L.A. grind and moved to San Diego to open stores for a global athletic apparel company, which eventually led her to Hawaii. “After several years, I was seeking a career path with more autonomy where I could create my own business, be my own boss, and work with a variety of people. Real Estate sales was the answer,” says Chelsea.

“I’m a people person, so the constant contact and communication lights me up. Whether I’m visiting homeowners at their property, sitting open house, taking calls on the road, or sitting floor duty, I have the opportunity to be fully present while helping buyers and sellers,” says Chelsea.

Chelsea enjoys an active lifestyle living on Maui’s North Shore, where she works out of Hawaii Life’s Pa‘ia office. “I get to meet some of the most interesting people from all over the world while building trust and developing relationships while just being me.”

Now with six years of experience as a real estate professional, Chelsea focuses on investment properties and growing Hawaii Life’s short-term and long-term rental property management division. She has continued to learn and grow in the industry, earning her broker’s license, as well the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) and Luxury Home Marketing Specialist™ designations.

Why Hawai‘i Life?

We asked Chelsea why Hawai‘i Life is the right fit for her. Here’s what she said:

“I work for a forward-thinking company that has an inspiring leadership team dedicated to giving back to the community while supporting their agents and employees. My work is my passion, which naturally keeps me balanced. My clients are familial, becoming my close friends. Every day that I wake up to step my toes in the sand and feel the love of those around me, reminds me why I love my Hawaii Life.

  • Quality over quantity. All of the HL agents I know hustle and are producers. They’re willing to share their knowledge. They’re confident and reliable, yet humble and down-to-earth. I respect that in my counterparts.
  • Community Involvement. Each Hawaii Life office makes an effort to give back to their communities by hosting community events, utilizing office spaces for more than just real estate purposes, and the company matches each agent’s contribution to the company’s charitable fund.
  • Agent Development. Hawaii Life organizes several events throughout the year that bring the growing company together. Events such as our annual Hawaii Life Day, company retreats, frequent pau hanas, office meetings, and training sessions give agents the chance to network and socialize.

With my digital marketing background, I can appreciate their online marketing strategy by creating unique content. Hawaii Life is the only brokerage I know of that has a full time in-house Creative team dedicated to supporting their agents with all of their marketing strategies.

The Creative team consists of some of the most talented yet humble personalities I’ve ever met – a Creative Director who’s pretty much a wizard, a social media director who dominates Facebook and Instagram, graphic designers that keep all marketing consistent and clean looking and have fast turnaround times for listing flyers, brochures, emails, etc… This team creates so I can be out in the field with my clients.”

In her free time, Chelsea likes to surf, hike, mountain bike, ride her Peloton (“my latest obsession”), play frisbee golf, chase waterfalls, and watch Maui’s beautiful sunsets with her boyfriend Tim and their dog Lulu. “Maui’s warm waves and a cappuccino get me out of bed each morning and watching the sunsets end my days,” she shares.
