If you desire to live in a resort community on Oahu, then you likely want to live in Ko Olina. Ko Olina is like a mini version of Waikiki, but without the crowds and traffic. If you’ve never been to Ko Olina before, it really is an oasis.
Ko Olina has 4 wonderful ocean lagoons; the first abuts the Four Seasons Resort. The last is next to the Ko Olina Marina, where you can book a dolphin snorkel sail, a sunset cruise, or a fishing charter. It is the biggest lagoon, with the most parking, and even a wedding chapel. Disney’s Aulani Resort is here too, and although there are no rides here, Mickey and his friends come out to greet you in their “aloha” attire. There’s also Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club vacation ownership, and an Atlantis Resort is also in the works, although construction has not yet begun.
There are 6 different residential resort communities within Ko Olina. From multi-million dollar condo units to wonderful single family residences, to starter 2 bedroom townhomes and a few other communities in between. Some of the best “view” options are offered here, from oceanfront to ocean views, while others have golf course frontage or golf course views. There is a wide range of options here, depending on budget.
92-1504 Aliinui Drive #707
$549,000 | 3 bd, 2.5 ba | 1,314 sf living
This offering is for a 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath split level townhome in Ko Olina Hillside Villas. Hillside Villas is tucked away toward the back of Ko Olina, adding an extra sense of privacy here. While still a resort lifestyle community, these residences are affordably priced. Unit 707 comes with central A/C, ceiling fans in each room, a full size stackable washer/dryer, 1 garage parking and another tandem space in the driveway. Both the master bedroom on the second floor and the unit’s private lanai below it overlooks the community pool… a great view and so much better than overlooking another building like some of the units do. While negotiable, the owners would like to include most of the furniture with the sale, making it a truly turnkey purchase. This complex is approved for 30+ day vacation rentals.
Ko Olina is one of the only communities on Oahu where you can legally ride around in a golf cart. Many owners own golf carts to go to the lagoons, walking/jogging paths, the Ko Olina Golf Course, shops, or one of the many notable restaurants here, such as Monkeypod Kitchen and Roy’s Restaurant…you can even check out a luau a few minutes away. Your Ko Olina home purchase also gives you access to the Ko Olina Beach + Sports Club, where you can take fitness classes, use the gym and tennis courts, do paddle boarding, and also take golf or tennis lessons at discounted rates.
