With Halloween right around the corner, don’t be scared of Oahu’s home sales.

As costume trends come and go, home sales on Oahu in September were steady once again. The volume of single family home sales were up 8.3%, while the median sales price increased 2.9% to $622,450.
Condo sales were a little more ‘scary’ as the volume was down 15.8%, however median sales price was up 8.2% to $335,000. I’m still amazed as to how resilient our market has been relative to the rest of the country. As we’re approaching the end of the year, it will be interesting to see what trends lie store for our future.
While “Lady Gaga” is the hottest new costume this Halloween, here’s what neighborhoods were hot on Oahu:
- Waialae-Kahala home sales in September were up 71.4%
- Kapahulu-Diamond Head prices in September were up 39.8%
