Newest West Maui Beachfront Home Listing in Lahaina

Oceanfront homes are few and far between here on Maui. I have been looking for the right place for some of my clients for sometime. When a new one comes up I have to really check it out and look at the history of it to see what kind of value is there. 

Newest Beachfront Maui Listing Offers Good Value

As of the posting of this blog, the newest listing on Maui is priced at $4,500,000 with just over 1,500 sq. feet of living space, which may seem a little high (MLS# 354041). We have to remember though that this is Maui beachfront and Maui is the best island in the world according to Conde Nast Traveler Magazine.

This is a very quaint, comfortable home. When it comes to Maui beachfront homes, this property has the best white sand beach (Baby Beach) in front for swimming by far over other homes (see below).

Featuring vaulted ceilings, tile floors, granite finishes, and breathtaking oceanfront vistas it has an “open” and “bright” feeling throughout. Large wrap around windows and its expansive lanai bring the beauty of the ocean right into your living room.

Its desirable Lahaina location makes it easy to enjoy a day at the beach or a night out on the town. Lahaina (house of the sun) offers numerous shops, beaches, and restaurants for those who enjoy being close to it all. For the right price, this could be the one.

4 Maui Oceanfront Homes Under $4M

I have been doing lots of research for oceanfront homes for some clients and want to share with you what is available under this $4.5M price and let you be the judge on which home offers the best value.

Maalaea oceanfront home (MLS# 349774)

1. Located in Maalaea and priced at $1,825,000, this home has great views of the bay, turtles, surf, and whales during season, but not much beach to speak of.

Lahaina oceanfront home (MLS# 352267)

2. This second property is located right on Front Street in Lahaina. It is old and small with only 2 bedrooms, but might be the best comparable to the new listing. It is priced at $3,200,000.

North Shore Koa Wood House (MLS# 348594)

3. This next property is known as the Koa Wood House and is located on the opposite side of the island on the north shore. If you love wood this might be the house for you. Koa wood is now so hard to come by I do not think you could even replace this home. This home is priced at $2,950,000 down from $3,900,000.

Kihei oceanfront home (MLS# 352248)

4. This last listing is located more on the south side of Maui in Kihei. Very nice quiet street, but the ocean in front here is mostly coral and not the best for swimming. This one is priced at $3,400,000 and has a very nice home and pool. As far as waterfronts go, this is a good value for Maui.
